1. General Information

Clean Books Inc. provides bookkeeping, advisory, and related financial support services. These Terms apply to all website visitors, clients, and individuals interacting with our business.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. Services Provided

Clean Books Inc. offers:

  • Monthly bookkeeping services

  • Clean-up and catch-up services

  • Growth advisory and fractional CFO support

  • Payroll guidance

  • Financial analysis, dashboards, and reporting

  • One-time strategy or growth calls

Specific deliverables for a service package will be outlined in your proposal or onboarding documents.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any service at any time.

3. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete financial information

  • Respond to requests, questions, or missing items

  • Maintain access to required systems, such as QuickBooks Online

  • Review reports or deliverables in a timely manner

  • Follow all tax, payroll, and compliance requirements outside the scope of services

Failure to provide timely documentation may delay deliverables.

4. Payment Terms

  • Payments are due upfront or on a monthly recurring basis, depending on the package.

  • Late payments may result in paused services or late fees.

  • Clean-up or catch-up work may require a deposit before beginning.

  • All invoices are sent electronically.

  • No refunds are provided for completed work.

5. Cancellation & Termination

Either party may terminate ongoing services with written notice.

  • Monthly bookkeeping requires 30 days’ notice before cancellation.

  • One-time calls, consultations, or clean-up projects are non-refundable once work has begun.

  • If a client fails to provide information or payment, services may be paused or terminated.

Upon termination, clients must download any documents or reports, as access to shared portals may be removed.

6. Confidentiality

Clean Books Inc. protects all client information and financial data.
We will not disclose your information except:

  • As required by law

  • To trusted service providers working under confidentiality terms

  • With your explicit permission

You agree to also keep any proprietary materials or templates from Clean Books Inc. confidential.

7. Data & Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information through secure platforms, encrypted tools, and limited-access systems.
However, no method of digital transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Use of third-party tools (QuickBooks, Gusto, Google Workspace, Wix, etc.) is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

8. Limitation of Liability

Clean Books Inc. is not liable for:

  • Financial losses resulting from decisions you make

  • Delays caused by missing documents or inaccurate information

  • Issues related to third-party software

  • Tax penalties resulting from information not provided to us on time

Our services support your financial operations, but final decisions and compliance remain the responsibility of the business owner.

9. No Legal, Tax, or Investment Advice

Unless explicitly stated in your engagement:

  • We do not provide legal advice

  • We do not file taxes or guarantee tax outcomes

  • We do not provide investment advice

We focus on bookkeeping, analysis, and advisory—not legal or tax representation.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Clean Books Inc. website—including text, templates, dashboards, graphics, and branding—is owned by Clean Books Inc.
You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute content without permission.

11. Third-Party Links

Our website may include links to other platforms or software. We are not responsible for the content, practices, or policies of those external websites.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
